By pooling his expertise with those of the Havas Group and Siaci Saint-Honoré, one of the European leaders in insurance brokerage, the former Human Resources Director of France Télécom and then Orange is developing the idea of a social strategist. On the one hand, there are start-ups on the market that focus on specific elements of digital transformation and, on the other, consultants dealing with the different components of traditional HR policies. It seems time to reconcile in a vision articulated social transformation, digital transformation and modernization of social dialogue», considers Bruno Mettling

Redefining the management line

The key of success will be to involve the HR function in the digital transformation. “We need to move from managing employment to managing skills,” argues Bruno Mettling. In 2015, the author of the report “Digital transformation and working life” – submitted to Myriam El Khomri, then Minister of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue – already noted that digital tools were still too often the only point of entry into this transformation. Employees are finding it increasingly difficult to find their place in the company. And only 34% of the employees surveyed by Cegos for its barometer “Radioscopy of managers” aspire to become managers. It is necessary to put human resources back at the heart of this dynamic and to redefine the managerial line.
