Created in November 2018 by Bruno Mettling, former HR Director of the Orange Group and author of the report “Digital Transformation and Life at Work”, which in 2015 already determined good practices in terms of teleworking, telecommuting management and the right to disconnect, the topics firm is establishing itself as a key player in the HR strategy consulting market. One of the keys to its success: an open model based on fifty former HR managers and a network of partners and startups.

Marc Grosser, a new Senior Partner in the team

In a context of strong growth of its activity and at the beginning of its 5th year, topics strengthens its Core Team with the recruitment of Marc Grosser as Senior Partner.

Marc has the particularity of having a dual career as a consultant and HRD within major groups. He understands managers because he has experienced the daily reality of being split between strategic orientations, business priorities and HR issues. His experience in consulting is invaluable in leading large projects and project teams,” says Bruno Mettling, CEO of topics.

As part of the Core Team, Marc will focus primarily on managing consulting assignments with Topics experts, conducting studies and benchmarks on business and work transformation issues.

I am delighted with this new challenge. The HR function is changing rapidly. It must evolve to keep up with technological changes, environmental challenges and new customer expectations. Internally, human resources must also adapt to the changes in work itself and to the societal trends that run through the company. Whether it is a question of the attraction and retention of staff, the development of skills, the renewal of social dialogue or even imagining the future of work, there is no end to the subjects“, comments Marc Grosser.

After a first professional life in consulting (Cegos and Bernard Brunhes Consultant), Marc Grosser switched to the HR function in companies. After Deutsche Telekom and Galeries Lafayette, he spent 10 years at Danone. He was Director of Social Affairs and CSR for the Group, where he was in charge of social relations, safety and working conditions, diversity and employability. He was then HR Director for the Waters business worldwide, and then HR Director for Africa and the Middle East, with an ambitious agenda, particularly in the areas of talent and organisation. Marc Grosser was also HRD of the Auchan Group for 3 years and in charge of CSR, with a focus on cultural transformation within the company and the adaptation of skills and efficiency of operational models. His knowledge of the retail and FMCG sectors will enable the firm to strengthen its position in these segments

"Since joining the topics community, Marc has already participated in several complex and sensitive assignments with us. We are confident that he will have a strategic, operational and international vision of all HR and transformation issues, particularly in terms of culture, company organisation, skills and social relations. Bruno Mettling

A high-impact consulting model for leaders

In its interventions, topics addresses all the major issues of internal transformation of organisations with CAC40 players and large companies. More than 200 assignments have already been completed by the firm, which still wishes to accelerate its development without losing its trademark which appeals to managers: allying strategic vision and operational know-how to identify and implement the most impactful levers for progress.

“Topics intends to further strengthen this added value with the development of several practices that are highly relevant to the challenges faced by clients. The ambition driven by Bruno and shared with the rest of the team is to double turnover by 2025,” adds Marc Grosser.

Several new offers are currently being deployed to support this dynamic: Mutation of the HR function, Seniors, Future of work, Competence manufacturing, Human aspect of major strategic projects, Health at work, Web3/Metavers…
